10.4 kWp 2.0 Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant — Bani
In January 2022, Sud Solar Système commissioned a 10.4 kWp 2.0 photovoltaic solar power plant in Bani, as part of a partnership with Plan International. This project reflects our commitment to developing innovative and sustainable solutions to strengthen rural electrification.
2.0 Technology Serving Local Development
The Bani solar power plant is one of the first 2.0 prototypes built in Senegal. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies:
- High-efficiency photovoltaic panels
- A battery storage system for 24/7 power supply
- An intelligent monitoring system for remote performance tracking
A direct impact on the community
This installation has made it possible to:
- Power several community buildings (school, health center, living spaces)
- Improve access to electricity for households
- Stimulate local economic activity thanks to the availability of energy
- Strengthen the village's energy independence without resorting to generators
A strategic partnership
This project was made possible through close collaboration with Plan International, which shares with Sud Solar Système the same vision of sustainable, inclusive development centered on the needs of rural populations.
A step towards smart electrification
The Bani 2.0 solar power plant is much more than a simple production system: it embodies a new generation of solar infrastructure designed to be durable, self-sufficient, and offer optimized monitoring. It also demonstrates Sud Solar Système's ability to innovate, adapt and anticipate tomorrow's energy challenges.
